Kids in the Kitchen, June 25

June 27th, 2016 Cooking class

We had a wonderful time with our first Kids in the Kitchen cooking class. The theme was “Play Dough” and the kids had a great time making pizza, pasta and parfaits. The kids had fun learning basic cooking skills (that resulted in some great lunch creations) and the parents enjoyed the spectacle. From the youngest to the oldest, all the students were involved, attentive, excited, and creative. A lot of them walked away with a souvenir of flour coating their faces. Chefs Jason Goddard and Josh Zeman, along with the rest of the Sea Salt crew, did an amazing job helping the kids have an unforgettable experience. Everyone inquired as to the next Kids in the Kitchen class, and we’re pleased to announce that it will take place July 30.

“…Some of the Most Memorable Mediterranean Dishes You’ll Ever Eat”

June 24th, 2016 Cookbook

Thank you to the sophisticated features editor Pamela Fisher of the Naples Daily News for her Sea Salt review. We’re thrilled and gratified with comments like this:
“The swordfish puttanesca was a marvel … the most succulent swordfish dish I’ve ever had.” “… perhaps some of the most memorable Mediterranean dishes you’ll ever eat.”

“Play Dough” Kicks Off New Kids Classes June 25 at 11:30 a.m.

June 20th, 2016 Cooking class

School’s out but there’s more to learn at Sea Salt’s new Kids in the Kitchen classes. Chefs help children, ages 6-18, prepare meals while teaching basic cooking skills with fun and creative recipes that will get kids excited about cooking.

Kids in the Kitchen begins Saturday, June 25 at 11:30 a.m. with a “Play Dough” themed class featuring pasta, pizza and parfaits. Children will learn to shape pastas with shape ideas from chefs, add their own toppings to a pizza and layer vanilla or chocolate gelato-based parfaits with a variety of kid-favorite toppings and sauces.
Children will be split into two age groups: 6 to 11 and 12 to 18. Older class members will be  allowed to follow more complex instructions for the recipes.
The children of Corporate Chef Jason Goddard and the children of Tanya Buchanan, director of operations, will serve as “Cooking Captains” for the inaugural class, helping to instruct and guide students and serving as mediators between kids and adults.

This event is priced at $25 and includes lunch and a beverage. Parents, while you watch the class enjoy a complimentary mimosa or sparkling wine. It’s never too early to get your kids in the kitchen! Call us now at 239-434-7258 to reserve.
